It aleo destroyd a house belonging to Mr Neithe. which was insured in tbe New Zealand office fcr ;8150. At the Supreme Court this morning, j ■ Martha Dalziel was oharged with the j murder of her son, four years old, on the 29th Deoember, at Waiksift. The evidence showed chat she bad tied the child to her, walked in the river, and ] sat down in the water. Three children l saw her and gave the alarm, when it i was found that she was insensible and ( the child was dead. They were lying j about 50 yards from the stream, as if i she bad orawled out. She was addicted ] to drink and hud previously been in ( the Lunatio Asylum. The' jury re-, j tnrned a verdict of not gnilfcy on the ( gronnd of insanity.
