In the irfamoan land cases, Manaeina v McArthur and 00., execution has been styed, pending an appeal to the Privy Council. Splendid rains have fallen in Fiji, and the New Zealand Company report the sugar crop 200 tons in excess of the estimates. The sittings of the Fiji Legislative Couucil have closed. The LieutenantGovernor reports the revenue for the nine months ending the 30th September as £41,502; expenditure, £53,01)9; deficit, The consideration of the estimates and the proposed Victorian reciprocity treaty were postponed for two months, pending the arrival of the new Governor, Sir Oharles Mitchell.
