December 9. Messrs Goldsborough and Co. (Limited) held their usual weekly wool sale to-day. There was a large attendance of buyers, and for all descriptions of good wool spirited competiHon was manifested. Four tbous-nd seven hundred bales were disposed of during the sale. For greasy merino as much as 11J1 was obtained. Lambs' wool sold up to Is £3, while scoured wool brought as much as 17£ d per lb. (Received December 10, 7.45 p.m.) Advices from Adelaide state tbat the South Australian crop accounts are very unfavourable, aud the quality geuerally much worse than last seasonThe Viotorian crops generally are reported to be most favourable, though in some districts the accounts are unfavourable, owing to the shortness of the rainfall. December 10. The s.s: Governor Blaekall, with the remains of the late Sir Peter Scratchley, arrived hera to., day, and was saluted with niiuute gucs on entering Port Jackson. The Governor Blaokall left this evening for Melbourne. In the Legislative Assembly to-day, the Premier, Mr Dibbs, announced that he would bring down his Financial Statement to-morrow.
