The secretary's report of the connexional property showed the debts on; tha property to be as follows :— Wan- • ganui, £732 Cs 3d; New Plymouth, £430; Patea, £452; Marton, £480; Palmerston North, £100; Waitara, ;£290; Sandon, £82; total, £2596 6s 3d. The following new erections and improvements were reported : — Waitara — Enlargement of church, cost £270, debt £150 ; Hairangi, gift half an acre, value. £10; Waitara Church debt. reduced by £70; Patea, now organ, cost £46, no debt; Pihama, one acre £16 5?, no debt; Patea, debt reduced by ±50; EangitikeiparFonage improvement, £40. The Waitara Circuit has permission to purchase or erect a parsonage. Palmerston North has permission to erect a new church, to cost £500, and to seat 400. The conference sanctioned the sale of two sections adjoiuing the church in . jVanganui ; also the leasing of sections in. Hew Plymouth and Hawera. The financial statement showed : Income" £60 5s 10a, uxs-enses £28 os, balance id hand £31 Us. Borne Mission income. £161 4s lid contributed by circuit ; £188 from sundry mission property. The circuits were assessed at the amount of £184 for .18S3, and mission property renta wero estimated at £218. Grants were recommended to the conference to be paid as follows :— Waitara, £10; Patea, £30; Opunake, £35. Waitara for furniture. £25; Patea tor furniture £25; Waitara towards arrears of stipend 1881, £15. £30 towards the foreign mission has been raised. Palmcrton North was reported as due to take a married man, but made a request to be relieved another year, which, was granted on condition of payiDff£2o addmonal towards the Home mission fund. The statistical return shows members 428, communicants 278, Sunday School scholars 1671, and attendants at Wesleyan services 4310. Mr Williams was elected as representative at the Conference. The meeting then closed.
