Clarke will shortly bo created a baronet is now fully confirmed. At a late period of last night's sitting in the Legislative Assembly Sir Bryan O'Loghlen's motion- for modification oi his proposal re loan conversion was carried, and the threatened crisis consequently averted. (Received Nov 17, 8.5 p.m.) A shock of Garthquako was felt ovei the greater portion of this colony last night. (Received Nov. 17, 8.5 p.m.) SYDNEY. November 17. New Zealand wheat has declined 4d per bushel during the week, and is now quoted at 5s 4d. New Zealand oats have fallen to 3s 4d, and maize to 4s sd. Sugar Company's No. 1 pieces reuinin at £35 per ton. Nothing further has transpired regarding the politisal crisis. Sir Henry P»rkes left town this morning to see Lord Lof tvs at His Excellency's country seat. Tho inquest on the bodies of the men who were drowned in the Austral has been adjourned until Monday next, the 20th instant.
