FIRE AT KAKARAMEA.
(per united pkess association.) Patea, June 10. The boiling-down works of Prouse Bros., at Kakarainea, were burned down l*sfc evening through a stray spark igniting theshingles of the roof. Thebuilding which had not been used for a month, was burnt to the ground. It was insured in the Standard for i£2so.
