July 19. : Dean Stanley died to-day, aged 66. : Very general surprise is expressed at • the names of the members of the Irish Land Commission. The appointments are considered Aveak, and will be , strongly opposed by Irish members in the House of Commons. The Australian and New Zealand mails, via Suez and Brindisi, which left Melbourne on June 7, were delivered here to-day.
