February 25. The following further Exhibition awards are published to-day — Firsts: Mosgiel Woollen Factory Company (limited), Mosgiel, near Dunedin, for tweeds ; H. Liardet, of Wellington, specimens of furrier's work. The following further Exhibition awards are published : — Third order of merit : W. Harris, Christchurch, bootsJ and shoes ; W. Nichols and Son, Christ-^ church, boots and shoes. Fourth order of merit: John Munden, Dunedin, samples of uppers and boot closing. Fifth order of merit: E. PottsT Christchurch, table cover, fringe, &c. ; Mrs Thomas Marriott, Wellington, lace bark bonnett. February 26. The first day's races of the Victorian Eacing Club's Autumn Meeting took place to-day, at Flemington. For the St. Ledger Stakes only Grand Flaneur and Progress started, and the former won easily in 3 inin. 18 sees. Eoyal Mail won the Ascot Vale Stakes by a head. The racing throughout the day was good.
