February 22. Galvanized iron, 26inguage, is quoted at £17. At the wool sales to-day 6600 bales were catalogued. The tone of the sale was firm for low qualities. McCabe, formerly editor of a Catholic paper in Ireland, and at present contributor to several Reviews, has issued a letter, in which he stigmatises the alliance between Parnell and Rochef ort as impious, and adds that the Catholic party can feel no confidence in Parnell. February 23. The Daily News to-day publishes information to the effect that a magazine at Cork has been broken into, and that a large quantity of gunpowder has been taken away.
