DUNEDIN RACES. [special to the chronicle.] Dunedin, Feb. 24. Eandwick has been scratched for the Cup. The weather is very dull and threatening. Three thousand persons were present on the course. Sir Modred. 1 OnDit 2 The Governor . . . . . . . . 3 Trotting Match. — A trotting match has been arranged to come off on the Racecourse to-morrow afternoon, between Mr A. Kohn's Polly and Mr F. W. Evans' Tommy. These two ponies are well-known pacers, and the match is likely to prove an interesting one. The distance is once round the course.
