Open to all horses owned for six months prior to time of entry by bend fide residents who have been living between the Manawatu and Waingor.goro rivers for that time. To start ot 4 o'clock. 7. —Consolation Stakes Handicap of 40 soys ; for all beaten horses ; 1 mile and a distance ; nomination, 1 soy; acceptance, 2 soys. To start at 5 o'clock. RULES. No entry will be received for any races except upon this condition — that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Wanganui ; entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and/ in case of handicaps, performances of the 1 horse, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will he fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distia* guisliiug colour must be worn. In all weight-for-age races, the new weight-for-age scale will be adhered to. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shail pay a fine of 5 soys to the race fund. All races to be run under the W.J.C. Rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. Annual Qualification Fee £3 forN/ott'Members, lor one meeting, £2. No other nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the time Fpt'ciiied for closing.
