SYDNEY.
May 5. Arrived— Tararua. Tho weather is improving, but unusually cold. Snow is falling in the Western and Southern districts. A heavy Southerly gale has prevailed since Saturday. The schooner Margaret Chessall haa been wrecked at Newcastle. Captain Townsend was drowced, but the crew were saved.
