AUCKLAND.
June 24. In replying to the deputation re Central Railway Station for Auckland, Hon Mr Macandrew said, the Government could not afford to incur the cost, but would carry the railway to Queen Street Wharf as intended by their predecessors., Ec the telegraph to Wairoa and Kaipara, for which a vote was passed last Sessiou, he said he would telegraph to Hoi i Mr Fisher, recommending that tenders be called for.
