Feb 22. John Mitchell intends again standing for Tipperary. Large attendance at Wool sales of home and foreign buyers. Prices compared with last series show a decline of one penny to three half- pence perlb. Papal Bull issued .to German Bishops forbids their acceptance of benefitures from the State, under pain of excommunication. New Zealand four and a-half per cent, loau of four millions is announced by Messrs Rothschild at 93 nett. Tenders are invited for the conveyance of monthly mails, via California, for eight years. Wheat easier. Improved competition at wool sales since opening.
