The Inspector of Sheep has announced that no case of scab exists within 30 miles of Auckland.

The New Zealand Insurance Company received a telegram stating that the steamer Pretty Jane had been successfully floated, and that the cost of repairs and recovery would not exceed £1,800.

A meeting of citizens to consider Williamson's memorial passed the following resolutions : Ist. Acknowledging Williamson's services to the Colony, and especially to the Province. 2nd. That the most suitable means of giving effect to the foregoing resolution will be the purchase of an annuity for Mrs Williamson. A committee was appointed.
