WILL STAND THIS SEASON, The powerful cart stallion HERCULES, Late the property of R. Welch, Esq., Taita, Hutt. TTERCULES is six years old, bright ill bay, black points, stands 17 hands high, has remarkably good action, kind temper, and hardy constitution, and has proved himself a sure foal getter. Hercules by England’s Hope, imported from England by E. R. Jones, Esq., dam Bonny Lass, by the imported cart stallion Tramp, grand dam Gipsey, imported from Tasmania. Mondays and Tuesdays, at Ben Nevis’ Hotel, Turakina, leaving at 1 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday. Wednesday, at Mr. R. Signall’s Hotel, Tutinui. Saturday, at Mr. D. Eraser’s station, Lower Rangitilcei. The remainder of the ‘week at Mr. Bull’s Hotel, Rangitikei. 1 Terms—Single mares, £3 10s. Two or more mares, the bona-fide property of the same owner, £3 each. A guarantee will be given if required at the discretion of the owner. Good grass paddocks provided, and every care taken without responsibility. Season to commence Ist October, 1865. DON JUAN is half brother on his sire’s side to the best horses on the New Zealand turf, viz., Dainty Ariel, Meleager, and others ; and has proved himself a remarkably sure foal getter. His stock in the districts of Rangitikei and Wanganui are most highly commended. Don J nan is a splendid golden bay with black points without a spot of white. Stands 15 hands 2 inches high, on remarkably short legs and immense muscular development, and is without except tion the biggest boned thorough-bred horse travelling. Performances.—Don Juan is a winner on the Wanganui Racecourse. Terms.—Single Mares, £3 10s. Two or more as per agreement. Grass.—Good paddocks, gratis. Corn—At market prices. No responsibility. ; ; Travelling.— He will attend at the Red Lion every Monday and Tuesday, Turakina and the Wangaehu the rest of the week.
