Wanganui.- —Wheat 7s 6d, oats 53 6d to 5s 9d p. bush., flour £2O p. ton, potatoes £4 10s to £5, fat cattle 20s p. 100 lbs. In retail—bread Is p. 4 lbs., cheese Is 3d to ls6d, butter Is , bacon and ham Is per lb., eggs Is. per dozen. ■ Otago, Nov. 15—Goods generally are slightly in advance, except in the articles of candles, of which heavy stocks are held, sugar is in« good demand and scarce. Tea, stocks are equal to demand, prices a shade lower. Spirits,- both bulk and case .ire in brisk demand, itock small. Messrs. Jones, Bird, arid Co. report as follow* of the Cattle Market First draught of' cattle from Wellington (O’Halloran’s)Bullocks, medium quality, £l3 15s. ; Heifers (spayed), ' £l3 15s, ; Bullocks (working), from £4O to £SO per pair; Sheep, light average wethers, £1 7s. 6d. This being the opening sale the competition was brisk. Horses, good heavy, draught, from £BO to 100 ; medium ditto, from £4O to 601; light harness and hacks, ‘351 to 50?. Drays, tip drays from 251 to 301, in demand. The attendance in the yard this week has been numerous, but from the want of superior stock, the market was somewhat languid. A lot of good Van Die-. men’s Land horses would sell well. Farm and.
