Mr. Muir’s residence in Wellington on tfie ; 12th insf.for the purpose of forming a Presbytery in this province. ' .Tlie. Auckland .= deputation' to the conference .in Dunedin, namely, Lev.David. Bruce and Mr. -Arclul. Clark-—' were present, as well as ;the Rev. P. Calder and Mr.' Geo. McCray, Nelson,... together with, the Rev John Muir, Wellington, and Rev, Jas. Duncan and Mr. /flex. Yule, Hiitt. The Rev. P. Calder was appointed Moderator, and the Rev. D. Bruce, clerk. The. Presbytery was form ally constituted on" the basis of tlie Auckland Presbytery. The case of the Rev. Mr. "Allsworth was then brought forward, and 'settled as narrated among our Turukina news. . ,7’he. Presbytery recommended/..that no congregation within its bounds should-g-ve a smaller stipend'than £2OO per annum - Qu. the following day the Presbytery again met. -The Rev. D.. Hogg, of Wanganui, said, that he cordially approved of the proceedings at the former sederunt, at which lie had been unable to be present, and would with much pleasure join the Presbj’tery as constituted. He would also, as soon as possible,, carry out the Presbytery’s instructions in regard to Mr. Allsworth’s induction. ; It was! resolved, that a meeting of Presbytery should be held on .the return :o£ the members from Dunedin. • -The.
