A bill to repeal certain provisions of the New Provinces act, 1858, introduced by Mr. Gillies, was read a first time. Oh the 4th, a bill, brought in by Mr. Brandon (for Dr. Featherston), “ to, provide for payment to. the. Provincial treasuries., of sums paid,,to the '.C'ofOriial treasurer under the .‘.LaudVi2efenue Appropriation- act*?’ was -read, a 1 first time. On Oct. sth (our latest date) Mr. tTjlliaiiisoh asked ministers what course they intended to follo.\y : in regard .to -Lpncf Revenue Appro-, priatioh Act Amendment' act rejected by.the. Legislative Council. - : '.Mr.': Bell said, that the. course pursued lately onthe rejection of', a money bill by tlie hohse of; Lords o'ughfrto, be. adopted-, namely; feh#; appointment ofi a,selectcommittee. Mr. Stafford' agreed f'imt as; lie-, had no official information, the subject dropped*.
