Spurious Imitations, of Holloway's Pills, and Ointment. Fifty Pounds will be paid to any person giving information to Mr. John Hughes, Wholesale Druggist, Melbourne, that shall lead to the conviction of any person or persons vending spurious imitations of Holloway’s Pills and Ointment. A power of attorney has been sent to Miv Hughes, bearing date 9th August, 1859. It appears that parties in Melbourne are either Manufacturing Holloway’s Pills and Ointment,. ;or importing imitations of the same from the* United States; such parties, when discovered will be dealt with according to law, in order to protect the public. The Genuine Ointment and Pills have engraved on the British Government Stamp the words, “ Holloway's Pills and Ointment, London ,” and if the little Books of direction wrapped round the medicines be held up to the light, the same words will he discovered woven in the water-mark of the paper. None are genuine without these marks, and without the Government Stamp.
