NUMBER OF SHEEP IN EUROPE.
At the late show of live stock at the Paris Exhibition, and in connection therewith statistics now published give the estimated number of sheep in Europe in 1876 at 194,026,236 head. Of these 46,432,000 were iv. Russia, 29,495,900 in England, 25,035,114 in France, 22,467,909 in Spain, 22,295,682' in Germany, 6,984,049 in Italy, 595,715 in Holland, and 556,097 in Belgium.
