LAND TAX BILL.

The Hon. Sir F. Dillon Bell—The state of the House plainly shows that hon. members care very little about this Bill, although it involves property to the extent of eighty millions. The country will be told, through Hansard, that while the Council spends many hours and takes the keenest interest in discussing the most trumpery subjects, it deigns not the slightest attention to a question which will affect the country for all time.
