We have matter of much greater importance to publish; we cannot, therefore, occupy our space in noticing the childish nonsense of such men as Hirini Taiwhanga. Let them talk till they are tired. Pike Ttjhaea says he has heard that Pekama Waikara and others hare threatened to murder him (Pine Tuhaka) and Henare Peti in revenge for the death of their sister. We hope this is not true. There are many mischief -makers among .the Natives who are always ready to raise such reports. As the requirements of our Native -readers call for greater dispatch in furnis'iing news, the Walca Maori is now published weekly. To meet necessary expenses the subscription, is increased to twenty shillings per year.'
