MILITARY CROSS
POSTHUMOUS AWARD TO OFFICER FROM TIMARU (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Advice has been received that the King has approved the posthumous award of the Military Cross to SecondLieutenant Bruce Ingham Dent, who was killed in action in March last. His father is Mr D. I. Dent, Kildonan, near Timaru. Before entering the Army, Lieutenant Dent was studying for an Arts degree at Canterbury College. He went overseas in the ranks in 1942 and I was commissioned, in the field last August.
