SIX AWARDS
TO NEW ZEALAND AIRMEN. FOR ACHIEVEMENTS OVERSEAS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. In recognition of their fine achievements, six awards have been made to New Zealand air crew members serving overseas, according to' advice received by the Air Department, Welligton. These comprise four D.F.C.’s and two D.F.M.’s The recipients are: Distinguished Flying Cross. Acting-Squadron Leader Jonathan Arthur Neilson (father Mr. H. W. Neilson, of Haumoana, Hawke’s Bay). Flight Lieutenant John David Grubb (mother, Mrs. G. R. Allardyce, Wellington). Acting-Flight Lieutenant John Daniel Woods (father, Mr. R. C. Woods, Hampden, North Otago). Acting-Flight Lieutenant Cedric Gay (father, Mr. G. F. Gay, Waipukurau). Distinguished Flying Medal. Pilot Officer Herbert Alexander Pond (father, Mr. H. C .Pond, Matamata). Flight Sergeant Maxwell Graham Frane Dowman (father, Mr. A. Dowman, Opunake, Taranaki).
