PUBLIC NOTICES. FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL. ROADS CLOSED TO HEAVY TRAFFIC. JJOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, in pursuance of the Wairarapa Counties’ Joint By-law Amendment By-law, 1930, the Featherston County Council, by resolution dated the 12th day of May, 1944, has determined that, owing to weather conditions, the roads within the County descibed in the Schedule hereto, while fit for heavy traffic up to: (a) Three tons in weight in the case of transportation of day motor vehicles. (b) One and a half tons avoirdupois in weight to each pair of wheels in the case of the transportation of any other vehicles, engines or machines, will be unfit for heavy traffic exceeding such weight for the whole of the months of May, June, July, August and September, 1944, and has by the said resolutions ordered that heavy traffic exceeding the said weights shall during the said months cease on the said roads. THE SCHEDULE. All Roads in the Greytown Riding excepting the Wellington-Napier and Greytown-Bidwill’s Cutting Main Highways and No. 1 Line. All Roads in the Otaraia Riding excepting the Martinborough-Lake Ferry Main Highway and the MartinboroughHautotara Bridge Main Highway. All Roads in the Turanganui Riding excepting the Martinborough-Lake Ferry Main Highway, the Kahautara Main Highway, the Pirinoa-Lake Ferry, and the Whangaemona Road. All Roads in the Pahaoa Riding. All Roads in the Awhea Riding. All Roads in the Western Lake Riding excepting the Featherston-Pigeon Bush Main Highway.
