LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST COLD & CHANGEABLE SHARP FROST LIKELY The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate to fresh southerly winds. Weather cold and changeable with further showers, but fair intervals tomorrow. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Mainly fair with sharp frosts likely. Mr 11. M. Boddington reports that 25 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. The Waingawa Sub-Station P.W.D. reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperature, maximum 52, minimum 34; terrestrial, 33; sunshine, 2 hours 30 minutes; rain, 24 points.
