WAIRARAPA TRIBAL EXECUTIVE. MEETING AT TE ORE ORE. Mr. P. H. Paku presided over a large attendance of delegates of the Wairarapa Tribal Executive Committee at Te Ore Ore, over the weekend. The change of name of the organisation was confirmed. Correspondence from headquarters was read and dealt with, particular reference being made to the registration of all women and men within the specified ages. Mr. P. H. Paku was unanimously reelected chairman for the year. Several speakers eulogised the services rendered by Mr. Paku and his outstanding ability in conducting the activities of the committee. Mrs. P. Paku was re-elected hon. secretary. Lieut. Manihera reported on his activities since the last meeting. The following members were elected a Sub-committee: Messrs. R. Tanuhana, J. R. Paku hnd G. Te Whaiti. It was decided to make representations to hearquarters for assistance to the liaison officer owing to his present state of health.
