IN ALLIED AIR ASSAULT ON EUROPE NON-STOP ATTACKS FOR PAST 63 HOURS. NAZI FIGHTER PRODUCTION SUFFERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received. This Day, 1.10 p.m.) LONDON, April 10. The April air offensive against Occupied Europe reached a fresh peak of intensity today, when nearly 2,000 Allied bombers and fighters swept, out from Britain. At dusk, an almost non-stop day and night assault had been going on for 63 hours, in which period thousands of tons of bombs were dropped by some 5,000 planes The Paris radio says R.A.F. bombs last night killed 148 in the Paris region and 113 in Lille. It adds that the raids were very heavy and caused great damage. A British Official Wireless message states that Focke Wulf fighter production has again suffered in attacks carried out yesterday by United States heavy bombers. At Marienburg, East Prussia, all the principal buildings in the Focke Wulf assembly plant were hit and set on fire. At Rhemal, near Gdynia, assembly shops, a hangar, the dismantling shops and stores were hit. At Tutow, an assembly plant, a hangar and workshops were hit and set on fire. Twenty-nine German aircraft were destroyed or damaged on the ground. Bomber gunners shot down 43 fighters and the escort accounted for 20.
