UNITED STATES WILLING TO MEDIATE STATEMENT BY MR. HULL * NO REPLY RECEIVED YET FROM SOVIET. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) RUGBY, January 17. Mr. Cordell Hull, in a statement at Washington, said that after receiving the report made by Poland in its statement last Friday, the United States Government instructed its Ambassador to Moscow to tell Russia of its willingness to help in bringing about discussions between Russia and Poland, but that no reply had yet been received from Russia. In its statement, Poland said it was asking Britain and the United States to help to bring about such discussions with a view to settling all outstanding questions between Russia and Poland.
