MOST SUCCESSFUL MEETING SATURDAY’S GATHERING. LIST OF PRIZE-WINNERS.
There was a record attendance at the Langdale Horse Sports, which were held on Saturday m fine weathei. Among those present was the Hon. n. Roberts, Minister of Agriculture. Mr Hugh Morrison, president of the Langdale Horse Sports Society, thanked all who had taken part and made the sports so successful. There were record entries in the majority of the events. In presenting the prizes, Mr Morrison complimented the riders on their fine performances. All present joined in the day s proceedings most enthusiastically, and the competitions were well supported. It is hoped to have a good sum to hand over for patriotic purposes. A successful dance was held in the evening. Results of the various events are: Tilting, ladies and men. —C. Hay 1, Miss C.
