SWIMMING CLUB SUCCESSFUL DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Featherston Swimming Club held a very successful dance in the Town Hall last Saturday night. There was a record attendance. Excellent music was supplied by Mrs Ashton’s Orchestra and extras were played by Miss C. Saba and Mr Tom Udy. Mr C. Buck was M.C. Several novel dances were held including a confetti and twilight waltz. The supper tables were decorated by Miss P. Hatton. The ladies’ committee were responsible for a dainty supper. personal Items. Mrs McLean and Miss Cora McLean, Wellington, are the guests of Mr M. B. Tait, Harrison Street. Mr J. W. Card left today for Wanganui, where he will spend a short holiday. Mr and Mrs F. Clarke, Hickson Street, are visiting Wellington. Mr and Mrs D. Carlyon, New Plymouth, are the guests of Mr and Mrs C. J. Carlyon, Bell Street. Mrs Bull, Northland, is visiting her mother, Mrs Bain Sent., Fitzherbert Street. COSY THEATRE “PILOT NO 5.” Tonight the ’ sensational drama of America’s fightinf heroes smashing the Japs, “Pilot No. 5,” will be shown. It is a powerful story which will make an immediate appeal. The chief roles are taken by Franchot Tone, Marsha Hunt, Gene Kelly and Van Johnson.
