BURNT TO DEATH

CHILD AT RAURIMU. BODY FOUND IN DEBRIS OF HOUSE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TAUMARUNUI, December 20. The charred remains of Hector Baker, aged 2, son of Mr Edwin Baker, were found in the debris of a fourroomed house which was burned down at Raurimu last night. Six people were in the house. Mr Baker rescued most of the occupants. His mother was cut and (burned and his sister, aged 14, was severely burned. She was taken to hospital. Mr Baker’s wife was absent in a maternity home and his mother and sister were keeping house for him.
