MEETING OF WOMEN
ADDRESSED BY LABOUR CANDIDATE. Despite a very wet afternoon Mr J. Robertson, Labour candidate for Masterton, recently addressed a large gathering of women at the Y.M.C.A. rooms. Mrs Copp, president of the women’s branch of the Labour Party, in intror ducing Mr Robertson, paid a tribute to the excellent services he had rendered as representative of the electorate. Mr Robertson was heartily applauded. At the conclusion of his address a unanimous vote of confidence in Mr Robertson and the Labour Government was carried.
