Leaders of the wool industry says there is sufficient to keep every woollen mill in the United States runnin:.; at top capacity till January. 1946, l.ut this staggering total is being increases by continued shipments from Australia and New Zealand at the gf est rate in history. The United States is running practically a shuttle service to Avs<raha and New Zealand carrying food and munitions to bring back wool not uvy for ballast, but because the wool trade* is the basic industry of Australian economy. At first prophecies of a wool shortage were based on the possibility of imports being cut off by the war. Actually the opposite has happened, ibe drastic reversal of the wool piffuio is due to the unexpectedly Inip.e amount received from Australia and New Zealand.
