ITALIAN ADMISSION

CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE IN TURIN BY LATEST R.A.F. RAID. AXIS FIGHTERS BAFFLED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.0 p.m.) LONDON, February 13. The wide Atlantic detour by which the Turin raiders are believed to have returned to Britain provided a third route by whiah Axis fighters are confused. says Reuter’s aviation writer. Sometimes the bombers fly on to African bases. Others return by various routes over France. Thus Axis fighters waiting to engage returning bombers are unable accurately to anticipate the route. Thirteen bombers are missing from the raid. Today’s Italian communique says considerable damage was done in Turin, 101 persons being killed and 203 injured.
