WOMEN’S INSTITUTE EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) A large crowd attended the euchre party and dance held by the Women’s Institute. The produce stall did splendid business, and the dancing, to the music of Ashton’s Orchestra was much enjoyed. The Monte Carlo competition was won by Mrs Rangi and partner. Mr Mclntosh was M.C. IThe euchre prizes were won by Mrs McKenzie and Mrs Taylor (ladies) and Messrs Carter and Spicer (men). The supper arrangements were in charge of a ladies’ committee. Lake Opened. The outlet of the lake has been opened again. Personal Items. Miss Mcllraith Rakaia is the guest of Mrs Mcllraith, Kaiwaru. Mrs W. Enoka is staying with Mrs Simeon, Feilding, for a month. Mr Stan Thomas, who is attached to a South Island Air Force station, is visiting relatives and friends in this district.
