MR. R. B. TENNENT

MADE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR.

OF DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr Robert Brown Tennent has been appointed Assistant Director-General of the Department of Agriculture. Born in Scotland fifty years ago, Mr Tennent served in the Great War with the A.I.F. He came to New Zealand in 1921, when he joined the Department as an instructor. Mr Percy Walton Smallfield succeeds 'Mr Tennent as Director of the Fields Division.
