DECLARED BY PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT IN AMERICAN FORCES IN NORTH AFRICA. PRIDE IN LEADERS AND MEN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.28 a.jn.) RUGBY, January 28. President Roosevelt -this morning sent a message to the American troops in North Africa, in which he said his visit to North Africa had increased his assurance and deepened his pride in the leaders and men of the armed forces. All were deserving of the highest commendation. “I return to the United States with renewed confidence,” he 'said, “that American soldiers, equipped with the best equipment the..,world can produce, Jed by men who have proven themselves in battle and all imbued with the will to win, shall be victorious.”
