ALLIES EFFECT GREAT DIVERSION

The Air Minister, Sir Archibald Sinclair, declared today that onefifth of the whole German air force, facing the Russians before the outbreak of operations in North Africa, has been moved to counter the Anglo-American offensive. The Allies are engaging, in the British and North African theatres, more than half the German and the whole Italian air force.
