Best shorn wethers sold ’ at from 35s to 35s 9d; light, 27s to 325; best 1 ewes, 30s to 345. ; Fat cattle: A small proporion of outstanding cattle was sold at an easing of about 15s a head, but all other classes were down • by as much as 20s. . Figs: There was a sharp relapse in; values. . Values for porkers were down by 10s a head ’ and heavyweights by 4s. Bacon values ’ were down by 15s to 255. MASTERTON SALE FAT SHEEP PRICES LOWER. The Masterton Associated Auctioneers report as follows on their weekly sale yesterday:—There was a good attendance of buyers and an average yarding. Competition was lacking in the fat sheep section and values were from par to 2s per head lower on previous sales. Excellent competition and a total clearance applied to the store sheep section, for which the yarding comprised mainly shorn 2-th. and 4-th. wethers. Four-tooth and 2-th. shorn wethers on a/c “Morland,” making 21s 3d and 19s 7d, respectively. The following are prices received at auction: — Fat sheep (all shorn): Wethers, 225, 23s to 24s 6cl; down 2-th. wethers, 20s 7d; maiden ewes, 15s 7d; fat ewes, 13s 3d, 13s 8d ; f. and f. ewes, 8s 6d. I Store sheep: Shorn 4-th. wethers, 19s 7d. 1 20s Id, 21s 3d; shorn 2-th, wethers, 15s 9d, 18s, 18s lOd, 19s 7d ; shorn b.f. 2-th m.s., 18s 4d; Woolley wether hoggets, 22s 6d, 20s 3d. Horses: Hack and harness mare, £B, PAHIATUA SALE DAIRY STOCK PRICES EASIER. At the Pahiatua sale prices for dairy stock were easier. Good store pigs sold at £2 12s 6d but small weaners could be had at £l. Advanced young pigs ranged from 30s to 32s 6d. Dairy heifers realised £8 and £8 10s; cow £ll ss; store cow £2 10s: second calver £3 ss. In run cattle heifers brought £7 12s Cd; others £7 10s; cows £5.
