RESERVISTS FROM 35 TO 37 YEARS.

LIST OF WAIRARAPA NAMES

A Gazette was issued last night containing the names of 22.395 men who have been called up for service with the Armed Forces. The number called in the various centres is as follows: — Auckland. 3811; Paeroa. 1294; Whangarei, 1019; Hamilton, 1337; Wellington, 2690; Wanganui, 1546; Napier, 1798; New Plymouth, 1152; Nelson, 1326; Christchurch, 3355; Dunedin, 1686; Invercargill, 1381.

The Minister of National Service, Mr Broadfoot, stated that this Gazette contained the names of all married reservists (with children) of 35, 36 and 37 years of age. together with the inflow into classes previously called up for military service. The Minister also said that the men would be medically examined as expeditiously as possible, but no indication could at present be given as to when they would be required to enter camp.
