WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MEETING HELD YESTERDAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Kopuaranga Women’s Institute was held yesterday, Mrs W. J. Cottle presiding over a small attendance of members. The treasurer reported that two soldiers’ parcels had been despatched. A Bring and Buy stall was well patronised >. It was decided to hold another Bring and Buy stall in October, in aid of the Makogai Leper Fund. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Wright and Brophy. A box lecture on food preservation was read by Mrs Jarrett, The competitions resulted as follow:—Best bloom: Mrs Reside. 1; Mrs Jarrett, 2; Mrs Brophy. 3. Face cloth: Mrs Jarrett, 1; Mrs Hewitt, 2; Mrs Wright, 3.
