SALE AT FEUDING FAT SHEEP VALUES ADVANCE. CATTLE BRING GOOD PRICES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, August 21. Prices for fat sheep again advanced sharply at the stock sale, fat wethers going over 40s for the first time for over a year. For good wether hoggets there was a keen demand. A medium entry of dairy cattle sold exceptionally well. Fat cattle prices remain high and firm at last week’s rates. A small yarding of run cattle was cleared at good prices. CARTERTON SALE KEEN DEMAND FOR PIGS. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd. report as follows on their Carterton sale yesterday: A full yarding of cattle came forward and a fair entry of pigs and sheep. Dairy cattle again met with a very weak demand and it seems that dairymen have filled their requirements in the meantime. Fat and store cattle made very good values. Fat sheep also sold well. There was a very keen demand for pigs. The following are the prices:— Sheep: Fat wethers, 35s 6d to 37s 6d; prime hoggets, to 29s 6d; fat hoggets, to 24s 6d. Figs: Store pigs, 355, 37s to 37s 6d; sow to farrow, to £3 10s; weaners (good), 31s, 335, 345, 35s to 375, (medium) 26s 6d, 27s 6d, 28s, to 295, (small) 19s, 20s, 21s, 245, 255, to 265; slips, 32s to. 355. Cattle: P.b. Jersey heifers on drop, to £l2; springing heifers, £5 15s, £6 ss, £6 15s, £7 10, £7 15s, to £7 17s 6d: Jersey heifers, just calved, £4 10s, £5 ss, £8 15s, to £9; Jersey cows on drop, £7 ss, £7 10s, £B, to £9; springing cows, £4 15s, £5, £6 10s, to £7; Jersey cows, just calved, £6 to £7 10s; fat cows,' £5, £5 19s, £6, to £6 17s; forward cows. £4 to £4 15s; store cows, 345, £2 10s, £3 7s 6d, to £3 14s; fat heifers, £5 4s to £5 19s; Jersey steers, to £2 17s 6d; empty 2yr heifers, to £5. _______
