LADIES’ GUILD PAHAUTEA-KAHUTARA MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Pahau-tea-Kahutara Ladies’ Guild was held yesterday afternoon, Mrs D. C. Collins presiding. An invitation was received from the Featherston Guild inviting members of the Pahautea-Kahutara Guild to their meeting next month. Mrs McKenna and Mrs Pope gave a very interesting demonstration on making splints, etc., from papier mache for which they were thanked. The tea hostesses were Mesdames Juno and Grant. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs George Welch are spending a holiday in Wellington. Mrs A. Donald, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs Brady, in Wellington, has returned home accompanied by Mrs Brady. influenza Prevalent. Influenza in a severe form is prevalent in Featherston. COSY THEATRE “THE LADY EVE.” Tonight’s programme at the Cosy Theatre will be headed by the brilliant comedy, “The Lady Eve,” featuring Barbara Stanwyck, Henry Fonda and Eugene Pallette.
