PURCHASED BY BRITISH SYNDICATE AT PRICE OF £62,000. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, July 7. A syndicate of 20 English breeders paid £62,000 for the Italian-bred racehorse Nearco, bought by Mr Martin Benson in 1938 after winning the French Grand Prix. It is stated that this most promising sire, previously unbeaten in Italy, will not leave the United Kingdom, the syndicate, of which Mr Benson is chairman, desiring to preserve him for the benefit of British bloodstock after war.
