MOTORIST INJURED
TREE LYING ACROSS ROAD. A car, it is reported, ran into a tree lying across a road at Gladstone last evening and as a result, Mr C. M. McLachlan, of 137 Chapel Street, was admitted to the Masterton Hospital, suffering from an injury to his back. It is stated that a man in the vicinity tried to give a warning to the car driver of the obstruction on the road. Mr McLachlan’s condition this morning was stated ti be satisfactory.
