CAMP FACILITIES

GOOD PROGRESS RECORDED.

ERECTION OF 400 BUILDINGS INVOLVED. Good progress is being made with the provision of camp facilities in the Wairarapa. In one or two instances the work has been completed, in others it is nearly finished and in all other cases it is well on the way to completion. It is expected that the whole of the work will be completed in three to four weeks’ time. Some idea of the magnitude of the task may be gauged from the fact that the erection of 400 buildings is involved in the scheme. Satisfaction is expressed by those concerned with the progress made. For a period of about two weeks the workmen had to don oilskins on account of wet weather.
