ALLIED SUBJECTS INTERNED IN JAPAN. ACCC'RDING TO RED CROSS REPORT. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 20. The British Red Cross has received from Geneva reports on the conditions in two internment camps at Kencho, near Yokohama, in which British subjects and seme Norwegian and Dutch sailors are detained. , The camps have running water and electricity. Coal fires are provided in winter for heating. Food is abundant and can be supplemented from outside. The regular diet is rice, meat and fish. One camp at least is also getting bread, potatoes, vegetables, -fruit, milk and tea with eggs on Sundays. The internees’ health is excellent, adequate medical and dental attention being available. Ventilation and sanitation are good, with space for exercising. Wives are permitted to visit their husbands weekly. 'Newspapers, cards and books are supplied. At least one camp has received letters from overseas.
