SALE AT FEILDINO FAT SHEEP PRICES LOWER. DAIRY CATTLE IN DEMAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING. June 19. Fat sheep were down 2s a head at the stock sale today with a fairly heavy yarding offered. A fair yarding of store sheep met with a good sale at previous rates. The fat cattle market remained easy with little of firstclass quality offered. The dairy cattle market showed animation, all good cows and heifers selling readily at satisfactory prices. No run cattle were offered. Quotations: Sheep: Fat hoggets, prime to 25s Id, fat wethers, prime, 29s Id to 29s lOd, good to 28s lOd, fair from 22s 4d, fat ewes, prime 18s lOd to 19s 4d, good to 17s lOd, light from 12s lOd, blackfaces, prime to 25s 4d, good, 23s 4d, stores, wether hoggets, good condition 20s, fairly good to 18s Cd, others from 16s Gel, b.f. hoggets, fairly good to 15s- 9d, ewe hoggets, good to 26s Bd, inferior from 18s 4d, breeding ewes, four and five-year 24s 6d, five-year 21s 2d, m.a. to 22s 3d, f. and f. wethers 28s Id. LATE RATES MAINTAINED. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Carterton sale yesterday:—A good yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward, being offered to a fair attendance. Prices were on a par with late rates and a total clearance was effected under the hammer. The following are some of the realisations:— Sheep: Fat wethers, 26s Id to 29s 4d; fat b.f’s., to 22s 6d; fat ewes, 15s 7d, 17s to 19s; fat lambs, 23s 3d, 22s Gd to 22s lOd; b.f. lambs, to 17s; small, b.f. lambs, to 14s 2d; 5-yr. ewes, r.w.
